Art Group

The Art Group has now relocated to Debbie’s studio in St. Georges.
All abilities are welcome.

LCC art club was started about 5 years ago, it started with just a few fellow painters who wanted to get together and paint, however it evolved as I had friends who wanted to join but didn’t know how to paint, to which I replied ‘I will teach you what I know’. As a result of this  more beginners joined along with some accomplished artists.

We now have a group of mixed abilities  and ages from 9 – 89. 

Our ethos is that we want to create a space where people can meet and paint without any pressure of succeeding because we are there to play and practice and a good finished painting is just a bonus. We aim to create an atmosphere that is relaxing and with plenty of laughter.  Our members say that it is very therapeutic and some lovely friendships have been made.  We use a variety of mediums and have also had exhibitions.

We have a selection of art supplies for those who don’t have any and we serve refreshments, so we ask for a donation of £3 for adults and £2 for children except for the first time. 

We ask that children under 13 are accompanied by an adult. We welcome Christian and non-Christians of all abilities and both .
