CAP (Christians Against Poverty) aims to release thousands of families from grinding poverty through award winning debt counselling and community groups. LCC supports the work of the local Weston-super-Mare CAP debt centre, which offers debt counselling, money management courses and help to people in our local area facing debt difficulties.
Supporting women working in massage parlours in and around Bristol, helping them to realise their own worth and to be safe. Aims to give love hope and practical help, reducing risk and enabling positive choices.Teams of volunteers from various churches go out at night, offering a friendly face, a listening ear and, if the women want, prayer. They distribute personal attack alarms, safety information, and signpost the women to essential organisations such as specialist clinics, shelters, and friendship groups.

Kenya Hope charity
With help from trusted pastors, Kenya Hope charity responds to God's call to care for the poor. They provide relief for disabled and the blind people in the community. Their child sponsorship programme helps orphans to be educated. The community fund helps to repair crumbling houses and schools and empower widows with income generating projects.
Open Doors works to support the persecuted church worldwide with Bibles, training, advocacy and practical support. They also seek to raise awareness of the plight of persecuted Christians in different parts of the world through eye witness testimony and the publication of research such as the annual ‘World watch list’.
David and Katya Bute are leaders of Kreativity, a growing church which runs a suite of social enterprise business projects in Cherkassy, Ukraine. Their latest project ‘the Start Academy’ is a school which is planning to open in 2020 to serve the local community.
The Weston-super-Mare Foodbank has been running for nearly 10 years helping people in food crisis with food parcels, signposting and practical support. LCC offers a remote delivery service for people in our local area, and also acts as a local foodbank outpost during busy periods.
